Beeston Musical Theatre Group invites you to join us at the Duchess Theatre, Long Eaton for our next production: Hello, Dolly!

Hello Dolly is based on the famous play ‘The Matchmaker’ by Thornton Wilder. The story of Mrs. Dolly Levi, a meddlesome opportunist, takes us from 1890s Yonkers to the glitz and glamour of the famous Harmonia Gardens Restaurant in New York. Dolly likes to arrange things…..lots of things, including marriages.  A widow, she has found herself in love with a “half-a-millionaire” Yonkers merchant named Horace Vandergelder, so she proceeds to weave a web of romantic complications involving him, his two store clerks and a beautiful New York milliner as well as meddling in the relationship of Vangergelder’s niece. Eventually, of course, all is sorted out, and everyone ends up with the right person.
