Stuart Veitch

Stuart has been a member of BMTG since 1997.

His first stage performance was as the unforgettable Sunflower Number 3 in a primary school nativity play at the age of 5. Never hitting such heights again, Stuart went on to perform at Bedford Theatre in several stage performances in the 80's (Including The Beggar's Opera, Cider With Rosie, The Crucible and several short plays and improvisation sketches) before moving to work behind the scenes (Front of House, props, lighting, sound, stage crew, set designer and finally Stage Manager by 1988). Many believe Stuart has the right face for working backstage. Where it's dark.

He joined CompanyMK in 1998 (a Milton Keynes based Theatre Group) for 2 years as Stage Manager for Sweet Charity and A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum.

Stuart joined, what was then, Beeston Operatic Society for Guys and Dolls. He stage managed Chess and then became Production Manager in 2002 for Me and My Girl, Kismet and Jesus Christ Superstar. He has also been a prominent member of the committee and in 2005 became Vice-Chairman.

Away from the theatre, Stuart runs his own IT Asset Management consultancy company. He is also a founder member of Zopa, the first lending and borrowing marketplace.
