A photo of Carolyn Smith

Carolyn Smith

Carolyn has been with BMTG since 1993.

She started singing in earnest aged 17 in preparation for a music 'A' level. Her involvement then, in musical productions, included The Boyfriend and West Side Story both as performer and singing coach.

She has taken several leading roles over this time including Fiona in Brigadoon, Magnolia in Showboat, Saffi in The Gypsy Baron, Calamity Jane, Miss Adelaide in Guys & Dolls, Julie in Carousel and, her favourite to date, Sweet Charity. As with many other members, Carolyn has broadened her experience with other groups in the area.

In 2004 she played a memorably evil Katisha in The Mikado.
